Swap out "Irregardless" with an actual word. Although as regionally acceptable as sharing a slice of pizzer with your cousin tinner (go sox!), people won't get the joke everywhere. This site is going world wide on the web of all places!

Here's what I did, looked it up on Wikipedia. "Irregardless seems to be moving slowly in the direction of standardization. It has gone from nonexistence in the 1910 publication of Etymological Dictionary of the English Language,[7] to being a normality in modern dictionary publications, and it frequently occurs in edited professional prose." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irregardless
I would say that while not 100% accepted as a standard English word, it is an accepted colloquialism. Ergo, I think it it stays. Would love to hear what others the legions of HWYNTD readers have to say about the subject.
Here's What You Need to Do. Italicize or bold the word...or add *stars* to let those who aren't in the know know that you know...you know?
